loving orphans and training pastors in thailand and southeast asia

Nestled in the jungles of Southeast Asia, a Christian orphanage for the impoverished girls of Northern Thailand offers refuge,  spiritual guidance, and an opportunity out of the cycle of poverty.  Currently, 44 girls call Breanna’s House their home.   Each girl receives a public education at a local Thai school, quality physical care, Biblical teaching, and life-skills training.  After the girls graduate, they are offered a chance to further their education and to enter a program of transition into society.  Our hope is that each girl leaving Breanna’s House will be a mature young woman with the skills necessary to rise out of poverty and a heart that beats for God and others.   We pray she will one day be a leader who impacts her own family, village and community.

Breanna’s House is presently directed stateside by Founder Bill Moritz.  In Thailand, Matt Parker directs the orphanage which is daily operated by a staff of five Christian nationals.

While political unrest, religious persecution, and extreme poverty plague much of Southeast Asia, there continues to be a turning of hearts towards God in countries like Myanmar, China, and Thailand.  And while there seems to be an abundance of Christian leaders in these countries, many of these men and women lack the resources and training they need to minister to those in their communities effectively.   Joy to the World is committed to the mentorship of these indigenous pastors and encourages them through hosting conferences, the distribution of the megavoice discipleship tool, and providing needed resources for Christian ministry.

Joy to the World Outreach also funds several relief projects to fight poverty and save lives in the remote areas of Myanmar and China.  Such projects have included digging water wells, providing food, building houses, giving medical aid, and providing relief after the latest tsunami.   We work closely with the national pastors and the relief organizations already on the ground in all of our efforts to show the love of Christ to the most desperate.

Founder Bill Moritz oversees these projects from the United States, while Thailand-based Director, Pastor Lu, manages this arm of ministry.

Joy to the World Outreach is a Christian Nonprofit Foundation which focuses its ministry in Southeast Asia.  With both national and Western staff, Joy to the World currently focuses on two major outreaches--the operation of Breanna’s House of Joy Orphanage and the equipping of indigenous Christian leaders in Thailand and surrounding countries.
